Indian consumers have become greatly interested in Samsung mobile phones in this nearly-ended year. This is according to Yahoo! India search engine statistics. This was also reported in the newspaper The Times of India.

According to the report, India’s online railway booking portal, the IRCTC, was at the top of the search engine list, while the rest of the top 10 list was occupied by the mobile phones or computers.

In the meantime, Google’s annual Zeitgeist revealed India’s top searches for 2010  and it also included Samsung. Indian consumers and web users also made searches for Micromax mobile, YouTube videos, and Facebook. Google Zeitgeist is said to be a good indicator of the year’s popular trends and events. According to India specific data, the top ten fastest growing search terms originating from India were IRCTC Login, Micromax mobile, YouTube Videos, FIFA, Facebook, Cricket live score, Indian Railways, Twitter, way2sms and Samsung Mobile.
