A spokesperson of Reliance Communications has recently stated that the company will launch Samsung Galaxy i899 in India next week. This handset will be the first Android based CDMA device which will be launched in the country.

As per the telecom analyst this step will improve the penetration of CDMA mobile phones in the enterprise segment in the country. Till now they were low on enterprise and multimedia features and the ones which were available was either Blackberry or were on Windows Mobile Platforms.

Samsung Galaxy i899 comes with features like 3.2 MP camera with LED flash and AF, expandable memory up to 32GB, Wi-Fi support, mobile safari web browser, push and pull mail service and others which will enhance the communication experience.

This latest handset Samsung Galaxy i899 will be available in India with an approximate price tag of Rs.20,000.

The T-Mobile of USA will be soon introducing 3 new Samsung handsets to further expand its catalog. These new models T359, T479 and T669 will be QWERY handsets and will not be a smart phone device.

These trios to be introduced by T-Mobile will target the low to mid range segment and will run on the TouchWiz platform.

The T359 will replace the T349 which is a year old model. Samsung T359 will be slider handset with features like full QWERTY keyboard, full HTML browser, 1.3MP camera, exchange mail support and others.

The T479 model will be the replacement to Gravity 2 and will also be known as Gravity 3. The handset will have vertical sliding full QWERTY keyboard with front keypad. Other features will include 3G connectivity, 2MP camera, QVGA display, 3.6Mbps HSDPA support and others.

T669 model will also have a vertical sliding QWERTY keyboard with resistive touch screen in the front. Its other features will include optimized TouchWiz version, 2MP camera and others. It is expected that these 3 Samsung mobile phone will hit the T-Mobile of USA on 23^rd June this year.
