Your Cell Phones will know you are agitated
March 14, 2010
Now your emotions will be conveyed from your cell phone to the other with the help of the latest technology developed by the team of researchers at University of Tokyo. The key elements of this technology lie in the sensor and the Peltier device which is attached to the back of the cell phones.
In this latest technology, during a phone call whenever you will become emotionally agitated and start sweating the sensor placed in the handset will detect the changes that will appear in the electrical resistance in the skin of your hand holding the mobile phone. Then this data along with the usual phone signal will be send to the person whom you are talking to. The Peltier Device which is attached at the back of the handset then starts heating up and makes the person understand that he is excited, angry and surprised.
As per the researchers there is a time lag of just 2 seconds to convey change in the emotion. The Peltier device can heat up to 9C above the room temperature but it also cools down to 3.6C below the room temperature and thus it helps you to know that the person to whom you are talking is emotionally stable.
