Nokia’s Q2 result shows fall in profits

Nokia has recently announced its financial result for the second quarter of this year which shows fall in the profits. The net sales of the company in Q2 was 10.005 million Euro which was 1% higher as compared to the last year quarter and 5% higher as compared to the previous quarter in the same year.

The net operating profit of Nokia Corporation was recorded at 660 million Euro which shows a drop of 20% as compared to Q1 in the same year and 15% drop when compared to the Q2 in the year 2009.

111.1 million Handsets were shipped by Nokia in this quarter which accounted for the 33% share in the global market which shows a 2 point drop as compared to Q2, last year.

The company reports shows that overall earning per share was around .11 EURO which shows a drop of 21% from the previous quarter and drop of 27% when compared with last years Q2.

Nokia Q1 financial results are out

Nokia recently announced their financial results for the first quarter of 2010. The report the revenue and profit of Nokia has become higher than last year’s and they’re manufacturing 50% more smartphones than the same period in 2009.

But at the same time the release of Symbian ^3 OS will be delayed for the second half of the year, which may disappoint man Nokia users who were looking forward to it. But back to the financial results, Nokia earned revenue of 9.52 billion euro, which is 3% higher than the revenue of first quarter in 2009. The operating profit reached 488 million euro, which is quite a big achievement compared again to the 55 million from the Q1 in the last year. Nokia smartphone sales have also increased twice, but the average price for a smartphone device has gone down with 35 euro to 155 euro. In spite of that, Nokia sold 16% more handsets than the first quarter last year.
