Micromax X1i+ Review
July 14, 2010
The Micromax X1i+ phone is not too different from the Micromax X1i. With a 106 X 44.5 X 16mm body the phone weighs 82 gm. This makes it a portable handset but the look is not too good when you see the price tag attached to it.
The phone memory is negligible so you really can’t do without an external Micro SD card. The battery is of the Li-ion 1800 mAh type giving 15 hours of talk time and up to 30 days of standby. It comes with a music player which plays all MP3 and AAC formats. What is missing with the set is a much needed camera and data transfer facility through Bluetooth. It’s incredible that you don’t get these features in this price range.
One can get hands on the Nokia Supernova set in this price range. The battery that Nokia sets provide is really good. Nokia 5130 express music and the Nokia 2730 classic are better buys in this range. Sony Ericsson T303 and Sony Ericsson R306 Radio too are better sets than the Micromax X1i given the features.
There is no reason that one would like to settle for the Micromax X1i. All it provides is a junk of a set which can hang at any given time. The battery as specified in the manual promises a lot but delivers almost nothing. The sound quality too is not very good so you wouldn’t like to tune into the music all the time. So it’s better if you go for the other ones.
