LG Cookie Review
June 14, 2010
As the name suggests LG cookie is a trendy and smart touch phone which is by far regarded as one of the cheapest model in the touch phone industry. The phone weighs 89 grams and has a 3 inch touch screen that has a resolution of 240X400 pixels.
When we compare the camera and multimedia features of this phone with rival models like Samsung Omnia then Samsung clearly has an edge over LG cookie. Samsung Omnia has 5MP camera that can record videos at 24 fame s per second and supports full multimedia playback. Whereas LG cookie has only 3Mp camera with an autofocus which can record video only at 12 frames per second. The music player of Samsung S5230 is also better than LG cookie and supports Mp3, H.263 and MPEG4 video format whereas LG cookie supports only MP4 format.
On the negative side the phone lacks 3G connectivity and Wi-Fi which makes it a bad choice for people who loves to browse the internet from their mobile phones.
The inbuilt memory of LG cookie is not at all impressive and is only of 48MB, which can be expanded up to 8GB.This capacity, is significantly lesser than Samsung Omnia and Nokia 5530 Xpress music. The phone uses the Li-Ion 900 mAh battery and has a talk time of almost 4 hours.
In conclusion we can say that LG has never been a very favorite brand for most of the cell phone users. However LG Cookie with its brilliant design and its affordable price tag has managed to win the hearts of the crowd leaving behind some of the giants in the mobile phone industry.
