Smartphones to be introduced for its customers by MTS in July

MTS which is a CDMA mobile services brand of Siestema Shyam Teleservices( SSTL) is planning to introduce smartphone for its customers in the month of July. The line up of smartphone will include Android , Windows and Blackberry devices. The prices are being planned to keep competitive. The Chief marketing officer of SSTL, Leonid Musatov stated that “We plan to make smartphones available for our customers beginning this July. We’ll be extremely aggressive on the price front, we don’t intend to make vendor margin.”
He also stated that the company wants to make offerings like dual technology smartphones and they believe that Android is the most convenient way to use mobile internet. MTS also expects that the investment of $677 million which is over Rs.3000 crore by Russian Government in the mobile operator will also close soon. Currently the CDMA services of MTS are available in 12 of India’s 22 telecom services area and the company has also announced that they have crossed the subscriber’s mark of 5 million in the country.
