June 27, 2011

Micromax mobiles have come out with a dual SIM mobile phone which has been named as Micromax X450 VanGogh. This impressive and stylish looking phone is equipped with decent specifications and has been provided with a dockable Bluetooth headset.

This phone comes with dual SIM capability where both the SIMs runs on the GSM frequency. This mobile phone comes with a 2inch TFT display screen which offers a resolution count of 240×320 pixels. This kind of a pixel count of the display is much better than that provided by phones like Lemon Duo 405.The options which facilitate internet connectivity on VanGogh are GPRS and WAP browser. Bluetooth and USB port are the features that help users to share data. There comes a microSD card slot offered with this model. This card allows users to expand the external memory space by up to 8 GB. The fact that Micromax X450 comes along with Java facility makes it possible for the users to play and download various games on it. The 2 MP camera attached on the rear side is a pretty good one and clicks acceptable quality images. The highlight specification of this model though it the dockable Bluetooth headset features which means that users now don’t need to carry their Bluetooth headsets and rather can dock it into this mobile phone!

There comes a 1000mAh battery fitted in with this phone. This kind of a battery manages to provide a talk time of about 4.5 hours but isn’t as good as that of Maxx MX 460.Even the sound quality of this phone might not seem too impressive to the music lovers. Thus overall Micromax X450 VanGogh makes for a good and decent phone with a few drawbacks.

Sony Ericsson Txt Review

Sony Ericsson Txt is a mobile phone which is a QWERTY model produced by Sony Ericsson mobile phones. This device comes in bright colours and looks quite unique and different from other models.

There comes a 2.6 inch TFT display screen with this phone which is non touch in nature and offers a resolution count of 320×240 pixels. The special thing about the QWERTY keypad provided with this model is that all its keys are circular in shape and are pretty nicely spaced out. This keypad can be compared with that of Blackberry Curve in terms of the scratch resistant surface. There comes a microSD card slot provided with Sony Ericsson txt which enables users to expand the external memory space by up to 32GB.This device is available in different colours including black, blue, pink and white. Users can connect to the internet through various options such as GPRS/EDGE, Wifi and WAP browser support. Bluetooth, Micro USB port and a 3.5 mm audio jack are the different data connectivity features. Social networking websites like Facebook and Twitter come preinstalled and can be used by the people who like to be connected to their social networks even on the go.

One of the major drawbacks associated with Sony Ericsson txt is the fact that it comes with a 1000mAh battery which just doesnt seems to work for those who need more talk time. Infact even a Nokia C2-03, which is medium budget phone, offers a slightly better battery. Overall Sony Ericsson Txt seems acceptable phone with its share of positives and negatives.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Active Review

Sony Ericsson mobiles have come out with a mobile phone which too adds itself to the list of Xperia models and this phone is known as the Sony Ericsson Xperia Active. This phone is one which looks really different from any other phone and comes with a list of good specifications.

There comes a 3 inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution count of 320×480 pixels. This screen is equipped with features such as Bravia mobile engine, Timescape UI, scratch resistant nature and LED backlit LCD display feature. This mobile phone runs on the Android version 2.3 Gingerbread and comes with a 1GHz Scorpion processor which are the points that make Active more desirable than phones such as HTC Sense and LG Optimus One. There comes a micro SD card slot with this phone that allows users to expand the external memory space by up to an amount of 32GB.The internet connectivity options which are provided with Xperia Active are GPRS/WAP browser, EDGE and Wifi facility. The various other data sharing options are Bluetooth, micro USB port and 3.5 mm audio jack. The audio quality and the overall sound experience are pretty decent too.

The battery attached inside with this model is a 1200mAh battery which provides a talk time of around 4.5 hours. The fact that phones such as Nokia N95 offer 1400mAh battery makes Sony Ericsson Xperia Active a little less attractive than it otherwise is. Even the 5MP camera attached on the rear end isn’t as good as that provided along with other phones of a similar price league. Thus Sony Ericsson Xperia Active makes for a superb mobile phone inspite of its few negative points.

June 25, 2011

Samsung Metro C3752 is a dual SIM mobile phone which has been added into the dual SIM bucket of Samsung mobiles. Both the SIM cards run on the GSM network and this is a slider form factor phone.

This mobile phone comes equipped with a 2.4 inch TFT display screen which is capable of providing a pixel count of 240×320 pixels. This screen can be slided upwards to reveal the alphanumeric keypad which consists of well spaced and large keys for easy and convenient texting. The size as well as pixel count of the screen is pretty good and superior to that of Spice C6600.The microSD card slot which comes along with Metro C3752 lets users expand the external memory space by up to 16GB.The connectivity options offered with mobile phone are Bluetooth, USB port and internet options such as GPRS and WAP browser. This phone proves to be useful for social networking lovers as it comes preinstalled with a number of websites. The audio options provided by Samsung Metro C3750 are FM radio and multi format music player which supports formats such as MIDI, WAV, AAC and AMR.

One of the major drawbacks associated with C3752 is the fact that it comes with a 900mAh battery which doesnt really take care of the talk time that it offers. Even the sound quality may not prove to be as good as one would expect from a phone at this price. The 3.2 MP camera is fine but doesnt really record high quality videos. With all these negative features, Samsung Metro C3752 seems like an okay model.

Micromax Q35 Review

Micromax mobiles have come out with another QWERTY keypad phone called Micromax Q35which becomes a member of the huge list of such mobile phones. This is a triple SIM phone which works on two networks-CDMA and GSM.

With this phone, there comes a 5.5 cms TFT display screen which offers a resolution count of 240×320 pixels. Being really affordably priced, this device does well when it comes to the specifications. For example, as far as connectivity is concerned, this device offers GPRS support as well as WAP browser. The other connectivity options provided by Micromax Q35 are Bluetooth and USB port. The micro SD card slot enables users to expand the external memory space by up to 8GB.This particular feature makes this phone better than phones like LG C310.The multi format music player supports formats like WAV,AAC,AMR and MIDI. The sound quality provided too is pretty decent. Even the FM radio sounds quite good. The fact that Q35 facilitates users with Java makes this phone a great model for game lovers. The additional features provided are a 2.5 mm audio jack, video player and video recording facility.

The screen provided with Q35 is not as large as one would expect it to be, considering the fact that the pixel count offered is quite good. The 1050mAh battery which comes attached with this phone is a decent one but seems to be left behind by the Nokia and Intex models of the same price range. The bottom line is that Micromax Q35 makes for a phone apt for those looking for multiple SIM usage.

This camera makes this device better than even iPhone 4 in terms of pixel count. The internet connectivity options provided are GPRS/WAP browser and Wifi. The other additional specifications offered are digital compass, YouTube, calendar, Google talk and A-GPS support. The 1500 mAh battery is one of the superior most batteries in the market and manages good talk time.

The screen size of this phone can be a point of dissatisfaction for a few users which are awestruck by the screens of phones like Samsung Galaxy S2 and Nokia N8.The processor which comes installed is another point which could have been improved. Overall there is no denying that Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray forms a great piece of genius.

Samsung Metro Duos C3322 Review

Samsung Metro Duos C3322 is a mobile phone which is one of the many produced by Samsung to add to their dual SIM mobile league. This phone runs on the GSM frequency and comes in a sleek looking body along with decent specifications.

The good thing about this phone is that is comes with a premium metal finish front and has got really nicely spread out keys on its alphanumeric keypad. There comes a 2.2 inch TFT display screen which is one that offers a resolution count of 240×320 pixels. This screen can be considered as one which is superior to that of Nokia 2699.There are many options that help users to connect to the internet. Firstly, there is the GPRS facility that proves helpful and then there comes WAP browser support. Social networking websites like Facebook and Twitter come inbuilt with Samsung Metro Duos C3322.There are quite many interesting application supported by this model too. There comes a widget by the name of AccuWeather widget which gives real time weather information to the users. Infact there also comes the mFluent IM service which acts like a chat software. The music quality offered is pretty impressive because of the 3D sound technology that it comes with.

The 1000mAh battery which has been fitted is one which doesnt really provide a good talk time. Infact the battery of LG Chocolate proves to be much better being a 1200mAh battery. The 2 MP camera is something which too might be a disappointing aspect of this model. In totality, Samsung Metro Duos C3322 seems to be decent but with its share of negatives points.

Fly MV 121 Review

June 24, 2011

In case you are someone who is looking for a basic phone with a strong battery, then Fly MV 121 is just the right model for you. This device has got a simple looking body which comes with a non touch screen display as well as a numeric keypad. This phone is a dual SIM model offering dual standby facility to its users as well.

There comes a 6.1 cm TFT display screen provided with Fly MV121.The special thing about this screen is the fact that even on being small sized, it offers a resolution count of 240×320 pixels which makes it a better and clearer screen when compared with that of Samsung Champ. The 1300mAh battery is another speciality of MV121 which becomes a reason why most people would prefer this phone over others like Sony Ericsson C510.The internet options which can be used on this model are WAP browser support and GPRS technology. The other connectivity features offered include Bluetooth and a micro USB port. Social networking websites like Facebook, Twitter and Nimbuzz come inbuilt and prove to be useful for people who like to be connected to their social networks via their mobile phones. The music player comes with Boom sound features as well as dedicated keys.

Fly MV 121 has also got a 0.3 MP camera attached on the rear side. This camera is one of the reasons why somebody would be forced to reject it inspite of the good specifications. Other than that there is nothing more worth complaining about Fly MV121.

Maxx Vista MS502 Review

Maxx Vista MS502 is the name given to a mobile phone launched by Maxx mobiles and one which has been put into the slider phone category of the mobile market. This mobile phone is a dual SIM model which comes along with the dual standby facility as well.

There comes a TFT display screen with this phone which is non touch in nature but can be slided up to reveal a QWERTY keypad with optical trackpad for easy navigation purpose. The microSD card slot which comes provided is capable of allowing users to expand the external memory space by up to 8GB.The special highlight specification associated with Maxx Vista MS502 is the 3.2 MP camera which comes fitted on the rear end. This camera is capable of digital zoom as well as video recording capability. On looking at phones of the same price range, it seems like Maxx Vista MS502 does better than Karbonn KC 441 in terms of the images clicked. The music player supports formats like MP3, AAC, AMR and WAV and produces a pretty good audio quality. The connectivity options provided are GPRS, WAP browser, Bluetooth and USB port facility.

As far as the screen in concerned, this phone seems to have compromised by making this a compact device and thus losing on the screen space. Even the resolution count of the display isn’t good to provide clarity of the content. The 1000mAh battery seems to do fine but not on comparing it with the battery of Nokia 1200 which is one of the most basic phones available. Thus Maxx Vista MS502 would have done a much better job if it worked on the mentioned few

points.

Intex IN 5030E Tri Do Review

Intex mobiles have come out with a phone which comes with a really strong battery and decent and simple looks and this model is known as Intex IN 5030E Tri Do. This phone from Intex can work both on GSM as well as CDMA networks.

There comes a 2.2 inch TFT display screen attached with this phone which is capable of providing a resolution count of 240×320 pixels to the users. For this category of phones, this size and pixel count of the screen is pretty good and surely superior to Nokia 2699.This is a triple SIM mobile phone which is one of the striking feature. The highlight specification of Tri Do is its 1800mAh battery which is capable of providing a talk time of about 7-8 hours to the users. This battery is the reason why this model fairs better than phones like Samsung Champ and Fly Q300.The connectivity options provided are GPRS/WAP browser and Bluetooth along with micro USB port facility. The music player supports multiple formats and comes along with a 3.5 mm audio jack. The additional features which have been offered are mobile tracker, multi language support and torch light support.

There are certain weak points too which make part of the list of specifications of this phone. For example the 1.3 MP camera isn’t as impressive as one would expect a camera of this price to be. The sound quality of Intex IN 5030E Tri Do is another point of dissatisfaction. Thus overall, this phone makes for a good device but with its share of negatives.
