Palm Pixi Plus: The New Smart Phone in the Block

Few new brands make really promising phones, one such brand is Palm Pixi and the latest in addition to their models is Palm Pixi Plus. The new 3G smart phone has been announced in March, 2010 and is expected to hit the market at the fall of autumn. This is a 2.6 inches TFT touchscreen phone that comes equipped with functional QWERTY keypad.

The phone also features – proximity sensor for auto turn-off, accelerometer sensor for UI auto rotate, proximity sensor for auto turn-off, 8 GB internal storage with no external port for card slot. This is perhaps one demerit that you would find in the phone; however 8 GB is enough memory in the phone. A Quick Look at Dell Aero

Something from Dell always creates interest and mobile phone from the company is no exception. A new phone from Dell called Dell Aero is expected to be released in 2010 may be by mid of this year. A smart 3G phone stacked with amazing features that would take your mobile experience to the next step.

Dell Aero is equipped with 3.5 inches TFT touch-screen, 256K colors and is equipped with accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate. It also has multi-touch input method, proximity sensor for auto-turn off, card slot for microSD card to extend memory up to 32 GB.

The primary camera of the phone is 5 MP Lens that comes with auto-focus, but no LED flash and no secondary camera for video conferencing. The operating system features Android OS and comes equipped with features like IM, MMS, Email, HTML, A-GPS navigation, document viewer, voice memo, already installed Google Talk, YouTube and alike features. The battery back up and stand by time are not available. These features are skeptical and may be subjected to change during the time of launch. And when it will hit Indian market is still uncertain.

SanDisk 32GB microSD card Available from next Month

As the storage capacity of phones are increasing day by day, the need for storage medium too considerably increases. Those who use mobile phones with extensible 32GB microSD card slot used to complain the non availability of such mass storage card in the market. But now from next month April, 2010 the new harvest of SanDisk microSD cards will be getting unbelievable storage capacities. Now you can switch from 16 GB microSD cards to 32 GB microSD cards.


The SanDisk 32 GB microSD cards would be available from next month in town and this would the world’s first 32 GB microSD card which would cost one around 200 USD and nearly 150 Euro. The mounting price of the card can limit its sale but those who are in need nevertheless would go for it. Virtually you would be carrying such massive storage that once upon a time computers used to have.

When the cards would start shipping to India is not confirmed. Indian being a booming market won’t have to wait too long for this card to hit the market.

AT&T Airo Wireless A25is – Rugged Mobile

AT&T, the popular wireless carrier has unveiled their first intrinsically safe certified smartphone called Airo Wireless A25is. As per the company this is the first rugged device on their network which will be capable of supporting its suite of business mobile applications.

This handset is powered by the latest Windows Mobile 6.1 OS and it will target the potentially explosive environments like petroleum industry sites,   chemical manufacturing sites and military applications. Airo Wireless A25is meets up with MIL-SPEC 810 F/G standards and it boats wide array of other additional features as well.

The cell phone has 2.8 inches of touchscreen display, Bluetooth, QWERTY keypad, GPS, push to talk support and others. Above all, these exciting features of the phone are crammed into a chassis which is less than 1 inches thin.

Aircel has introduced a new handset called Peek which is targeted towards all those users who needs to be in touch with their mails 24X7. This new handset from the company can also be known as an Email phone as this is the only function provided by it. One cannot make calls or perform any other functions besides checking mails in Aircel Peek.

The company has taken a bold move by introducing phone with such concept. Aircel Peek allows you to mange 3 email accounts and has a QWERTY keyboard as well. Aircel also claims that Peel is the thinnest device ever created. In this phone, the users can read their email attachments in Excel, PDF, Word and image formats and they can also send as well receive the attachments having 10MB size. Facility of Microsoft Exchange is also provided in the phone.

Other features of this phone include 2.5 inches QVGA resistive screen, multifunctional clickable scroll wheel and security lock. Aircel Peek is available in Red and Black colors with a price tag of Rs.2999 and Rs.300 needs to be paid every month for checking mails.Now it has to seen whether the users are ready to accept a phone that can be used only for emails when various other options are available for the same.

Window Mobile 6.5 upgrade for Toshiba TG01

Toshiba TG01 had to wait really long to get the upgrade version of Windows Mobile version 6.5.
