Wal Mart will sell iPhone 3GS for $97 only

Just before the launch of the latest iPhone 4G/HD, Wal Mart has cut down the price of iPhone 3GS to $97 only which is $100 less as compared to the earlier price. It is not unusual to decide a price cut before the launch of a new iPhone and now Wal Mart is retiring the iPhone 3GS as it will become old with the launch of the new one. This offer from Wal Mart will prove to be a great deal for all those people who are not very much excited about getting the new iPhone 4G.

iPhone 3GS comes with 16GB of internal memory which proves to be sufficient for storing all your favorite images as well as important data. The phone will also have a 2 year contract with AT&T.

Call for TD-SCDMA iPhone made by China Mobile makes

The General Manager of China Mobile Research Institute, Bill Huang , at the recent World Expo in Shanghai had made a request to Apple for creating a TD-SCDMA version of its iPhone . The request has been made so that the largest mobile carrier in the world can offer the game challenging device to its customer base which comprises of more than half billion subscribers.

Bill Huang, at the Ericsson Business Innovation Forum held at Expo this year , stated that the platform of the China’s own mobile handset and Android based Ophone are already very popular but the company would wish to get a chance to deliver the devices from Apple.

He also stated that it took less than 2 years for the TD SCDMA to move from the field trials to the commercial service and they are also confident that it will become high performance and compelling network. This was also considered as the golden opportunity in the mobile internet era with TD-SCDMA and LTE.

Apple iPhone OS 4 in Preview State

The Apple  iPhone OS 4 is in previews and the company has announced the release of beta version to iPhone Developer Program. This includes updated and latest software development kit (SDK) that boasts of nearly 1500 new application programming interfaces and more than 100 new features that would be released for the iPod Touch and iPhone users this summer.

The new features of the OS 4 will have multi-tasking for third party applications, folders to organize and access the applications in more ordered form, improved and faster mailbox with fast switching to other applications and threaded messages. It is also expected to release enhanced support for data protection and mobile device management for securing your iPhone. The new applications like multi-tasking for 3rd party applications will preserve the batter power and life through minimal use of power.

India may avail the iPhone 3GS soon

Come March 24th, mobile phone users in India may avail of the iPhone 3GS that would include a dataplan much like the earlier iPhone release. For the initial one year, it will be coupled to the service provider offering this handset.

As of now there are only speculations as to which subscribers will be providing this technology. The iPhone 4G has already launched in the US and the users there have availed it and are satisfied with it, whereas with the exception of MTNL and BSNL that offer limited features in the 3G arena, no other providers in India have the 3G facility available for their customer base.

Similarly, plans are on for launching the Google’s Nexus One mobile phones in India; though the one offered in India will be far behind its US counterpart in terms of features and price offered which will be specifically customized for Indian users.

According to the latest report, a twenty five year old woman from North London, Livvy Thompson has invented an iPhone application that will measure the amount of calories burnt in individuals while having sex. Published in The Sun, this new Bedometer application scrutinizes the duration and passion involved in each of the sessions to calculate the calorie loss.

As per Livvy’s own reaction, “The results have been amazing. My boyfriend can’t get enough of it.” She also added to it stating that having sex for 15 minutes reduces your calorie count by 200. How it works?

All you need to do is put it on the bed that you intend to make love on, and using the iPhone or iPod Touch’s motion sensor it measures all the activities happening on the bed, adds it up to give a total calorie count reduction. “The Bedometer is the ultimate app as it’s fun and functional.” states Omaid Hiwaizi of Chemistry ad agency.

Rhapsody may soon let iPhone users listen to music offline

One of the problems that iPhone users constantly face is listening to music when you are in an area where your network does not reach out or in case you aren’t connected to internet. This problem can be taken care of with streaming music giant Rhapsody’s new application that will not only allow users to download their favourite tunes from Rhapsody’s site but will allow them to listen to it in absence of internet connection, so no more interruptions if you are listening to your favourite number and happen to pass through a tunnel.

The application will save the played music on the phone’s memory and will also help in saving considerable amount of battery life as there would be no data connection required to listen to the music. The subscription fees of $15 a month would remain unchanged however this new strategy would require iPhone manufacturer Apple to approve before going live.
