Nokia has finally announced its much in rumors and highly anticipated phone-Nokia X. This announcement was made at the MWC 2014 event and the special thing about this handset is that it is Android based. Its price or availability in India hasn’t been revealed by the company yet.
Nokia X is a 4 inch budget phone from the company which will hit the stores in Q2 this year. The phone runs a version of Android Open Source project which will let users download Android apps on it. Users will be able to use Skype free for one month to make calls to mobiles and landlines. The other apps which will come built in are Bing, Outlook and OneDrive, all from Microsoft. The screen will be offering a display resolution of 800×480 pixels to the users. This device will be bundled up with a Snapdragon S4 SoC chipset.
Nokia X is powered by a dual core processor ticking at 1 GHz and coupled with a 512 MB RAM. There is 4 GB of internal memory space packed inside, expandable by up to 32 GB using the micro SD card. A 3 MP camera will be fitted in and the entire package will be fuelled by a 1500 mAh battery.
