The much awaited, LG G Flex the first curved display smartphone has been announced by the company in India and the phone will be available for sale in February, 2014. The most striking specification of this phone is its 6 inches of display that uses the curved OLED panel that is built on a plastic to give more durability to the handset. The curved display from top to bottom makes it easier for the user to hold the phone and also provides better experience of viewing videos.
Another impressive feature of G Flex is its self healing rear panel that features an elastic coating that enables the handset to recover from daily bumps and scratches. Physically the phone measures 160.5 X 81.6 X 7.9 X 8.7 mm in size and has a weight of around 177 grams. It runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS and is powered by 2.26 GHz of quad core Snapdragon 800 processor and features 2GB of RAM.
Additional specifications of LG G Flex include WiFi, USB 3.0, Bluetooth, 3G, LTE, NFC, GPS, 13 MP rear camera, 21. MP front camera, 3500 mAh battery, QTheater feature, dual window mode, Swing Lockscreen, Urgent Call alert and others.
Though the company has not yet revealed the price of the phone but it is expected to be in the range of Rs.60,000- Rs.65,000.
