Nokia Project Ujjwal to provide free mobile phones in rural areas

Nokia has recently completed its 15 years of mobility in India and in order to celebrate this, the company has launched an initiative called “Project Ujjwal” through which they will provide 100% household mobility to 5 of the villages in Raebarelli in Uttar Pradesh.

Through this project, over 500 households in 5 villages of Delhi Gram Sabha will get free

handsets from the company that will come preloaded with Nokia Ovi Life Tools Services. A tie up has been set up by Nokia with Datamation Foundation which is an NGO of the area so as to implement this project effectively.

With the launch of this project by Nokia which is designed over the Nokia Ovi Life Tools, the people living the rural areas will be able to get access to variety of important and useful information like weather based forecasts and disruptions, crop advisory services, information on diseases, harvesting tips and others.

    The project seems to be really a great one that the company is doing some different for villages in which today there is requirement for everyone.
