Aircel Launches its mobile application store called “PocketApps Store”

In order to create a niche for themselves, various telecom operators are coming out with their mobile applications and the latest to join the list is Aircel, as they have recently made an announcement for the launch of their application store called “PocketApps Store”.

This latest store by Aircel will enable its subscribers to enjoy variety of applications through various means including WAP, GPRS and SMS.  Different categories of applications are available in PocketApps Store among which the subscriber can select the one as per their choice and preference. Some of these categories include Education & Career, Music & Fun, Health & Living, Social Networking and many others.

In order to get the applications on their handset, the Aircel Subscribers will have to simply send an SMS with a keyword “PA” to 52777 and then the link will be provided through which the user can get access to the PocketApps Store.

The PocketApps Store browsing will be provided for free of cost to all the Pocket Internet users. By paying a weekly charge of only Rs.7 the subscribers can download unlimited free applications and moreover the priced ones also have a very nominal charge.
