Send Real drinks to your friends through Facebook application on Mobile Phone

A San Francisco entrepreneur, Steve Johnson has recently created a new application called Bartab for Mobile Phones and Facebook which will allow the users to send a real drink to their friends through their mobile phone. This application will surely bridge the gap between social networks and real world.
Bartab application works by allowing the user to buy $1 voucher for drink which will be good at 60 bars in San Francisco. The user will get a drink ticket through a text message or iPhone application and then the ticket needs to be shown to the bartender and then by paying $1 pouring fee the user can enjoy the drink.
The president of San Francisco’s WebTab, Johnson stated that “Facebook is charging one buck for the virtual drinks but we’re selling real drinks for a buck. Why send them a fake drink when you can send a real drink?”
The service had its test run in the May and now it will have an official release with an updated design.
