Micromax Q5fb Review

July 14, 2010

The Micromax Q5fb is a QWERTY set with a great looking keypad design and certainly has got the looks. It’s a dual SIM GSM phone with a track ball feature. With the dimensions of 115 x 62 x 12.5 mm and weighing 95 g the set is a bit bulky.

The phone comes with an internal memory of 15 MB which is expandable up to 8 GB through a micro SD slot. The camera is a 2 mega pixel one with 4x zoom facility. Video recording is available. For entertainment purposes you have the music player and FM stereo radio which promises to engage you the whole day. A2DP Bluetooth is available which is great for data transfer.

The battery life and backup being good and the phone coming at a cheap price, it’s sure a great buy. Micromax is a relatively new company and operates within the country so you got to give a chance to them. Sometimes you may find the phone to hang up if you are unlucky enough but you can very well go to a service centre.

Given the price you can also get your hands on the Nokia 3500 classic but you won’t get the classic QWERTY keypad. The camera is not so good with the Micromax set but you can’t really demand more of a 2 mega pixel one. You can also have many Samsung and LG phones in the range but the QWERTY keypad is something unique with the Micromax range. Thus, the buy is not a total loss after all. It qualifies for a decent enough phone.
