Nokia 6700 Slide Review
June 25, 2010
Completely overshadowed by the N and the E series mobile phones, Nokia 6700 slide mid-range mobile phone might cover a long way. The model is bold and hardy. It is priced for the masses yet the style is unique and surpasses the investment made on the phone. The bar-shaped, slider phone is one of the best models that have extensive mass-appeal. It is a smart phone which offers various features like a solid metal casing, excellent sunlight legibility, Bluetooth, standard USB port, good audio and video quality.
The flip side is that the 2.5 mm jack restricts the usage of third-party head phones. The display is small and you really need to focus for a better look. You have to install document viewer and it does not come along with the phone. Just like most other mobile phones this handset has its microSD card slot under the battery case which makes it difficult to put in and remove the card from the slot.
Considering the audio effects the 6700 scores below the HTC Touch2, and better the quality of that of the Apple iPhone 3GS, the 6700 Classic and Sony Ericsson Aino. Therefore, performance-wise the 6700 slide is a winner.
The navigation pad makes it easier in comparison to navigation ball which is not as comfortable on your thumb during usage. There is a dedicated camera key to the 5 megapixel autofocus camera which also comes with the dual LED flash and Carl-Zeiss lens which makes up for any loss in the phone and its features.
