100 Million Subscribers for Vodafone

Vodafone Essar has proudly announced that it has achieved 100 million subscribers mark in India. This pan India operator is the 3rd one to achieve this milestone after Bharti Airtel and Reliance Communications. By the end of January, Vodafone had a subscriber base of over 94 million and by the end of February the base raised to over 97 million.
When considered all over the globe, this achievement of Vodafone has placed them on 5th position in the world to serve more than 100 million subscribers in a single country.
Talking in terms of revenue the company also claims that it has made its position strong by being the second largest operator.
As per Marten Pieters the MD and CEO of Vodafone Essar, this achievement reflects the trusts of the customers in them and he also stated that company has invested more than Rs.20,000 crore in order to expand the customer services in the country.
