How to track a stolen mobile phone

March 5, 2010

Mobile phones are undoubtedly one of the most desirable pieces of technology and since they are portable belongings thus the possibility of getting them misplaced and stolen is quite high. In order to track your stolen mobile phones first of all file a police report mentioning the Electronic Serial Number (ESN) and the model of the phone.

There are limited options for tracking the phone on your own but if the handset has a GPS service installed in it then detecting its location becomes easy.

One can also track their stolen phone by downloading the appropriate software for the same from Microtechnologies. You can click on the “MicroLMTS Lost Mobile Tracking System” labeled box on this site and then find the installation steps for it. For installing the software you need to mention the model of your handset.

Go through the pre installation instructions on the site and then complete the process of “Lost Mobile Tracking System” and wait for the software to start. After the launching of the software you can register your cell phone there and then complete the registration process by selecting the “ Select Advance Registration Form Options Menu”.

With the advancement in mobile technologies the latest handsets are also equipped with tracking features that allows you to track your stolen or lost phone.
