Samsung Beam i8520 – First Android 2.1 Phone

Samsung has recently unveiled its latest pico projector mobile phone called Samsung Beam i8520 or Samsung Halo which runs on Android 2.1 OS and has Super AMOLED display.
This innovative handset uses the 3rd generation Texas Instruments pico projector chipset that offers 10 lumens of brightness and projection of 800 X600.Samsung Beam is capable of streaming smooth images and video over customized projector UI as it has 800 MHz processor.
There is 3.7 inches of Super AMOLED display in the phone along with capacitive touchscreen. Other impressive features of this cell phone include Google Maps, Voice recognition, GPS, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11n, social networking, 16GB of internal storage with MicroSDHC slot, 8MP camera with auto focus and flash, 3.5mm audio jack and many others.
The physical dimensions of this handset are 123 X 59.8X 14.9mm and its 1800 mAh battery provides 470 minutes of talktime. For music lovers there is good quality player in the phone that supports multiple audio formats along with FM radio with RDSNo word on pricing and release regarding this model is available as yet.
